Carmen here…
We haven’t done too much the last couple of days. Yesterday, the seas continued to be bad. High winds and high swells resulted in the
closure of some of the main decks and most stuff outside being tied down. No one is outside unless it is to grab some
food from the outdoor eateries. I feel so bad for all the crew that has to work
outside in these conditions. Anyway, we
stayed inside all day yesterday and attended another Stacia Martin
presentation. The winning seat for one
of her sketches was next to Jarrod but was empty. There was a trivia question and Jarrod (nor
anyone in our generation probably lol) knew it so the sketch went to the lady
on the other side.
The show for the evening was Susan Egan, the original Belle
from the Broadway version of Beauty and the Beast. Her show was fabulous! She sang a few songs from Broadway along with
some Disney classic songs. She also voiced Meg from Disney’s Hercules and she
sang her song from it too.
Our room continued to creak like CRAZY!!! We informed guest services yesterday and they
said that the whole ship was creaking. Yes… we agreed but our room was
terrible!!!! Try sleeping in a 210 square foot room with constant creaking
right over your head. So again, not much
sleep last night.
Woke up this morning very agitated due to waking up over and
over and over. Visited guest services
again and this time they sent 2 people to our room. They agreed that the
creaking was extremely out of the norm and should not be this loud and constant
even with the sea conditions we have been experiencing. They have given us another room to sleep in
but don’t want to move us permanently since there are currently no open rooms
on our next cruise L Hopefully they can isolate the issue and fix
it within the next 5 days.
The seas have definitely calmed this afternoon and they said
that we should have much smoother sailing from here on.
Thankfully had a chance to take a nap in the new room and I
slept SO good! Afterwards, we got ready
for dinner and had another fun evening of family portraits and just hanging out
together. It was “Frozen” night so we had a Norwegian themed dinner. We all
tried wild boar and it was delicious!
Well, it’s 11 P.M. and the sun just went down in the last 30
minutes. Looking forward to the first peaceful night sleep in 5 nights!
