Some of Our Earlier Travels

Hello... Carmen here!  I have been asked by some to post pictures and updates of our fabulous 3 week cruise across the Atlantic and up through the Norwegian Fjords.  We started planning for this adventure last summer with just the Eastbound Transatlantic (EBTA).  But soon after, I realized the Norwegian Fjords cruise followed the EBTA and I knew we had to make it work.  Since Jarrod is of half Norwegian heritage, he had dreamt of visiting Norway for years.  So glad we can make his dream come true.

What cruise line???? Disney Cruise Line of course!  We know that we will have the best service, entertainment and all around family fun on DCL!  This will be DCL 8&9 for me, 7&8 for Jarrod, and 5&6 for the kids.

A little about our traveling background... Jarrod and I didn't travel much early in our marriage but we did experience Jamaica in 1998 at Sandals in Ocho Rios.  After Haley was born in 1999, travels consisted mostly around Texas until the summer of 2003 when we visited Southern California.  That is when the Disney addiction started at Disneyland.  In the summer of 2004, we visited Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.  After a few trips there, we decided that Disney Cruise Line would be our next adventure.  In 2009, we embarked on the Disney Magic for a 7 night Eastern Caribbean cruise and all had a fabulous time.

We knew that we had been bitten by the cruise bug!  In January 2011, we took a fabulous cruise through the Panama Canal on the Disney Wonder.  We visited Aruba, Costa Rica, and 3 ports in Mexico.  We have also visited Alaska via cruise (on Norwegian Cruise Line) and both the Eastern and Western Caribbean a few times via DCL.

Paris, France was our first European adventure in the fall of 2013.  Jarrod and I went for our 18th anniversary and loved it so much that we decided to take the kids back the following spring for their birthdays.  They absolutely LOVED it as much as we did.  We visited Disneyland Paris (of course!), the Catacombs, the Eiffel Tower, the Arc d'Triumphe, Notre Dame, the Louvre and even rented a car and drove out to Normandy.

Jarrod and I have since retuned to Jamaica to renew our vows for our 20th anniversary in the fall of 2015.  Jamaica is one of our favorite Caribbean destinations!  We have also traveled to over half of the states of the US and a few Canadian provinces.  Not to mention countless trips out to Florida to WDW.

Well... that's it for now!  We will be adding many new destinations this year and hope to continue to year after year.
