A Day at Sea on the Way to Nova Scotia 5/19

Jarrod here…

We awakened early for a character breakfast in Animator’s Palate. It was pretty awesome. Mickey joined us for breakfast and had pancakes (we have protographic evidence as proof…LOL). Minnie, Pluto and Goofy also stopped by. As usual, Goofy was hittin’ on Carmie (he always does). We saw another Stacia Martin presentation. It was great as we learned a great deal more Disney history. Carmie then retired for a nap. Haley and I saw a few sea lions. After Carmie’s nap, her and Haley did a chocolate exchange. It went well except for a woman who was not a participant coming by and attempting to snatch several treats. Someone had to tell her that this was a planned event, i.e. if you didn’t bring anything to exchange, please GTFO of here…LOL. Following the chocolate exchange, Carmie and I had a one hour open bar event that was planned by a Facebook group. It was a blast…we definitely got our money’s worth. We grabbed a second nap, went to a great pre-dinner show and dined in style. The swordfish and seabass were excellent. Cam, as usual, had steak. Carmie and I went to see an Irish folk band at the pub after dinner. It was good, but fifteen minutes into one song (a redundant instrumental), we bailed. I took the kids up on deck for stargazing with the officers. Unfortunately, it was cloudy, so we learned a bit about navigational instruments used as sea.
