A Short Overview of the Trip of a Lifetime

This is Jarrod, preparing for departure on one of our best trips yet!! As we prepare for our three week adventure, the family and I are overwhelmed with choices for adventures within the magical stops in store for us. What an awesome itinerary we have. Three weeks aboard the Disney Magic with stops in some of the most beautiful ports on the planet. 

We begin by driving to Florida where we will leave from Port Canaveral, FL on May 15. Our trip first takes us up the Eastern Seaboard with stops in Boston and Sydney, Nova Scotia. Then we head off across the Atlantic Ocean with many relaxing sea days in store. Our first stop once completing our voyage across the ocean is Dublin, Ireland where we will visit Glendalough. Next, we cruise to Liverpool and Dover, where we’ll have a trip into Wales and views of the renowned white cliffs of Dover. 

Two weeks into the adventure, we stay on board for a seven day trek through the Norwegian fjords. We will visit cathedrals, stave churches, waterfalls, seaside villages, etc.. My father’s family are full-blood Norwegians. I have wanted to visit Norway since I was a child. As a family, we have longed to visit Norway for over a decade. The fact that we’re actually going to Norway is mind-boggling. Once the seven day fjord adventure ends, we will return to Dover and head home. However, the adventure does not end there. We will fly from Gatwick Airport to Reykjavik, Iceland where we’ll spend a day. Wow, Iceland…the kids are really stoked. After a transatlantic adventure and a week in the Norwegian fjords we’ll be exploring part of Iceland. 

It’s going to be the trip of a lifetime. We said the same about our adventure through the Panama Canal and our trip to Alaska. However, I really believe that this will be our best adventure to date!!
